Not a big fan of it to be quite honest. I dunno if I will even buy an upgrade set that will give him the gun mode as the designs between the alt modes would prevent that if the lack of screws don't already. I would just wait for a 3rd Party KO that goes Gun Mode.

To someone who prefers G1 Megatron as his toy gun form more than the tank, yes, I know times has changes of toy gun laws still standing by it. But I just prefer going for his gun form more as to paying respect the original format

My hope was an artillery mode for other transformers to use. Something that had a lot of the design ques from the g1 form, what would’ve been the handle splitting into tripod legs for the alt mode and maybe the stock becoming a seat for the other cons.

In my opinion, he will probably look a little bit like how he does in transformers devastation which featured a pretty G1 look in robot mode with slight difference and also a tank mode. Also, don’t forget his chain and mace Because if 86 Prime is coming with his axe, Megatron needs his mace.

This entire debacle could have been easily sidestepped if they made Megatron a ss gamer edition devastation figure.

They should change it to “American gun laws inspired” Jk but I love the tank mode!

Transformers devastation will be 10 next year so they will use this as a tie in to both the movie and video game.

It's was expected. Because of toy gun laws. Nothing we can do. But he transform into a tank, should he be in studio series? Because he's not 86 movie accurate anymore. If he stays in studio series atleast give him a mini gun mode megatron so that any transformer can hold him.

I was hoping for a fusion cannon anti aircraft artillery cannon because it makes the most since as he did a sci fi version of it as galvatron. As far as accessories, he's going to be around the size of concept art megatron from Studio Series and that just had the fusion cannon as an accessory at leader class so Im worried, because I think he deserves at least the small gun version of himself. I wish they'd just make him a commander class and do 2 commander SS86 in one year.

Transformers slag podcast's proto man showed where some states like New York, an orange cap isnt enough, the gun has to be bright colors and all these sorts of things that just wouldnt be a SS86 megatron people wanted. also some people are upset saying its not SS86 unless he is a gun but in the movie he didnt transform into a hand gun that only a 4th wall breaking human owner could wield and we dont have mass shifting technology so there is literally 0 way to make an on screen accurate transform mode.

If he ain't a gun he ain't G1. I actually remember the 80s. I understand why he can't be a gun but it still sucks. Honestly Hasbro shouldn't have even attempted to make him at all. That way they don't besmirch his legacy. 86 tankatron will probably be the seige / earthrise mold with extra accessories.

MP-36 is the best we'll ever get to a gun for Megatron ever again... and the overall fig. is pretty great too

I think the best thing to do is give him a nice silver deco, a g2 style tank mode that cleans up nice and uses the tank barrel as the barrel on his back, and include a Walther P38 accessory that can be held by other figures so you still get him as a to scale gun, as well as the lightsaber and hopefully the flail. Throw in some blast effects and I’d say I’d be happy with that

I'm pretty sure most have already accepted that we're not getting Guntron. So what's most important is an accurate bot mode. The alt mode is irrelevant at this point. That's probably why SS concept Megatron is so popular

I hope Studio Series 86 has a clean Robot Mode.

Of Course They Will Add All Accurates in This Leader Class 86 Megatron Just Like They Did With 86 Leader Class Autobot Springer.

I want to like it, but I cannot deny that all the other minibots releases from the mainline the latest years was better than this Bumblebee. And I think that speech volumes.
